The Operations Supervisor works under the supervision of the Manager and Senior Director of Patient Care Services and is primarily responsible for providing clinical/patient care support, supporting efficient patient throughput, maintenance of standards, and assuming the administrative role in crisis/disaster situations. Additionally, the Operations Supervisor acts as a resource to facilitate timely and effective problem resolution in overall hospital operations for all departments and provides functional support for departments where these departments are closed. The incumbent in this position provides support for care to adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. Performs other duties as assigned.

Promoting and maintaining communication with nursing, medical, and management staff
Facilitating the process of hospital-wide operations
Assisting in the resolution of problems regarding patients, families, physicians, staff
Coordinating efforts of all departments in the case of drills and disasters
Acting as a professional role model and leader for staff
Identifying the need for revision of, or the creation of policies, procedures, standards, or practice guidelines
Participating as a member of Nursing Management to identify and implement the goals and objectives of the service
Requirements:
Current California RN License
Current American Heart Association BLS
Current American Heart Association ACLS
At least three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
Demonstrates excellence in clinical nursing practice
