Job Description:

As an Operations Supervisor, Command Center, you’ll oversee the execution and coordination of live autonomous and human-assisted trucking operations. You’ll ensure uninterrupted service delivery, proactive customer communication, and effective real-time leadership of Operations Specialists, remote operators, and On-Site Support teams. This role demands a high degree of operational awareness and leadership composure. You’ll act as the central point of coordination during live operations — ensuring safety, SOP adherence, and efficient decision-making to support Kodiak’s commercial uptime and customer commitments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee Command Center operations across multiple trucks, routes, and customers during live shifts
  • Monitor key systems, dashboards, and communication channels to identify and resolve exceptions in real time
  • Ensure no truck remains idle or delayed without immediate action, escalation, or communication to customers
  • Lead execution of SOPs, including pre-shift briefings, mid-shift syncs, and end-of-shift handoffs
  • Manage Command Center scheduling and ensure appropriate shift coverage across all hours
  • Handle time-off requests, staffing adjustments, and overtime approvals within guidelines
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and exit discussions for Command Center personnel
  • Coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable for safety, performance, and professionalism
  • Collaborate with Assisted Autonomy Supervisors and On-Site Support Supervisors to align operational priorities and execution plans
  • Manage incident response and ensure accurate documentation, timely communication, and resolution follow-up
  • Foster a culture of urgency, ownership, and operational discipline within the Command Center
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in logistics, dispatch, fleet operations, or command-center environments
  • 1+ year in a leadership or supervisory capacity within operations, logistics, or fleet management
  • Strong understanding of operational control centers, dispatch coordination, or multi-route fleet management
  • Proven ability to manage live operations, resolve escalations, and maintain composure under pressure
  • Familiarity with transportation, logistics, or autonomous vehicle operations
  • Understanding of FMCSA regulations, safety protocols, and field coordination workflows
  • Skilled at real-time decision-making and communication in high-pressure or customer-facing scenarios
  • Adept at translating complex operational data into clear, actionable updates for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Leads with composure and accountability, ensuring the team operates with urgency and precision
  • Proactively identifies inefficiencies and drives continuous improvement in communication, process, and safety
What we offer:
  • Competitive compensation package including equity and biannual bonuses
  • Excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision plans through Kaiser Permanente, Anthem, and Guardian (including a medical plan with infertility benefits)
  • Flexible PTO and generous parental leave policies
  • Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Life Insurance

  • Fidelity 401(k)
  • Commuter, FSA, Dependent Care FSA, HSA
