Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist for this new and exciting opportunity to support a non-profit organization located on-site in Ann Arbor. If you're a people person with great communication skills, this non-profit opportunity is meant for you! Must be able to work fully ONSITE either afternoon shift or mid-night shift.

Job Responsibility:

  • Interacting with clients in a non-judgmental ethical manner
  • Responsible for the operation of various floors of the facility
  • Be familiar with and implement policies and procedures taught on the job
  • Ensure all current clients have checked in to the building appropriately
  • Supportive, empathetic, confidential listening and offering clients general assistance
  • Document various client information and activities in program system HMIS and staff notes professionally and appropriately
  • Responsible for light cleaning in the facility and the ordering of supplies
  • Welcome and orient new clients to rules and responsibilities of the floor and congregate living
  • Appropriate communication with Manager regarding client Leaves of Absences, Late Arrivals and other client policy questions
  • Must be willing to work holidays if necessary
  • Must be on time for work, and use time clock to document hours
  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree, detail oriented certification, or alternative equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of housing, mental health, chemical dependency, and poverty issues helpful
  • Experience in social work, social services, or human services helpful
  • Reliable and willing to work holidays
  • Able to be assertive without being aggressive
  • Able to work as a team member
  • Utilize good judgment
  • Be both welcoming and assertive
  • Be culturally competent
  • Able to be mindful of personal boundaries, ethical obligations, and the primacy of client needs
