Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Operations Specialist to join our team in City of Industry, California. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented candidate with a strong background in import operations and customer service. The role requires a proactive individual who can manage complex shipments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure exceptional service delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor and process customer orders for both international and domestic shipments, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency
  • Provide detailed shipment updates and status reports to customers, agents, and overseas branch offices
  • Handle a high volume of shipments, optimizing processes to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team and Operations Manager to support key functions and resolve issues
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or problems promptly and effectively
  • Negotiate with suppliers, vendors, agents, and customers to maintain strong business relationships
  • Offer guidance and leadership to the Operations Team, sharing expertise to foster growth and teamwork
  • Demonstrate a positive and collaborative attitude while contributing to team success

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in import operations or customer service
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of shipments efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers, agents, and vendors
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration and shared success
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments
