Project Manager – Fixed Term Contract. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our operations team on a fixed-term contract to support the delivery of a large-scale event. The role will focus on coordinating infrastructure, logistics and operational delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. Working alongside an established operations team, you will manage multiple workstreams, liaise with contractors and stakeholders, and oversee the delivery of key site infrastructure and operational elements.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with the operations team to support the successful delivery of a large-scale event
Review and manage detailed project plans, timelines and critical paths to ensure milestones are achieved
Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost control, ensuring value for money and appropriate approvals
Brief, coordinate and manage contractors and suppliers
Lead coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders
Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met, including RAMS, risk assessments and compliance
Oversee site planning, layouts, build schedules and logistics
Identify project risks and implement mitigation or contingency plans
Act as a key point of contact for project delivery and operational decision-making
Monitor progress on site and resolve issues quickly and effectively
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
Maintain clear reporting and communication with senior management
Manage change control and late-stage amendments without compromising safety or delivery
Conduct post-event reviews and capture lessons learned for future improvement
Requirements:
Experience in event project management or operational delivery
IOSH Health & Safety qualification (or equivalent)
Strong organisational and planning skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and project planning tools
Nice to have:
NEBOSH qualification or equivalent health & safety certification
Experience working on large-scale events, infrastructure projects or temporary site builds
