This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to support payment operations within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant payment processing while contributing to organizational efficiency and member satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Process various types of payments, including wires, mobile deposits, payroll, card disputes, and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Investigate and resolve escalated issues, complaints, and discrepancies in payment operations
Conduct quality control checks to verify the accuracy of payment processing and posting activities
Monitor and troubleshoot operational issues, implementing solutions to maintain seamless workflows
Stay updated on federal and network regulations such as Visa, Regulation E, and UCC4A, ensuring compliance across all payment activities
Maintain and update documentation for processes and procedures within the scope of work
Collaborate with risk management and other departments to support audits, regulatory monitoring, and required reporting
Assist in the implementation of new products and services, ensuring successful integration with existing systems
Analyze existing workflows and recommend strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize risk
Provide exceptional service to members and staff while adhering to performance standards and response times
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of payment processing systems, including wire transfers, lockbox services, and mobile deposits
Experience with account reconciliation, general ledger management, and regulatory compliance requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools to analyze and manage data effectively
Familiarity with risk management practices and ability to identify and mitigate operational risks
Understanding of industry regulations, including Nacha rules and Visa compliance guidelines
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle complex account discrepancies
Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Ability to adapt to new processes and technologies, ensuring seamless integration within existing workflows
