The Operations Partner is a critical logistical role essential to Bird's success in Brampton, ON. You will take responsibility for the logistics of the local fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring they are charged, safe, and positioned correctly to meet the community's transportation needs. We are looking for entrepreneurial individuals or logistics businesses ready to hit the ground running. Whether you are a solo operator with a single van or a fleet owner capable of deploying multiple drivers, you can scale this partnership to fit your capacity. You will have the flexibility to choose how you operate: Maximize earnings by securing your own space (warehouse/facility) to charge vehicles overnight; Streamline operations by simply retrieving and transporting vehicles to our central warehouse.
Job Responsibility:
Fleet Transportation: Utilize your vehicle(s) or fleet to collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes across Brampton daily
Operational Management: Manage the end-to-end operation of your assigned portfolio, ensuring vehicles are available in high-demand areas
Maintenance & Quality: Perform light field checks to ensure vehicles are safe and environmentally friendly
Field Execution: Problem-solve in real-time to overcome obstacles, prioritize tasks, and navigate local geography efficiently
Requirements:
Vehicle Access (Required): Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes
Storage Space (Asset): Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred
License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers
Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
must be able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment
Availability: Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet
Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Brampton's local geography
