Job Description

The Operations Partner is a critical logistical role essential to Bird's success in Toronto. You will take responsibility for the logistics of the local fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring they are charged, safe, and positioned correctly to meet the community's transportation needs. This is a pay-per-task opportunity where earnings are directly tied to output.

Job Responsibility

  • Fleet Transportation: Utilize your vehicle(s) or fleet to collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes across Toronto daily
  • Operational Management: Manage the end-to-end operation of your assigned portfolio, ensuring vehicles are available in high-demand areas
  • Maintenance & Quality: Perform light field checks to ensure vehicles are safe and environmentally friendly
  • Field Execution: Problem-solve in real-time to overcome obstacles, prioritize tasks, and navigate local geography efficiently

Requirements

  • Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • must be able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment
  • Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends
  • Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet

Nice to have

  • Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for maximizing earnings (allows for overnight charging)
  • Fleet owners with multiple vehicles/drivers are encouraged to apply
