Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented finance or operations professional with a knack for numbers, a mastery of Excel, and a high level of business maturity? We are seeking three dedicated Operations Officers to join a dynamic, 12-member team in the heart of Toronto. In this 100% back-office role, you will provide critical operational support by reviewing, processing, and validating high-volume financial transactions (including Money Market and FX products). If you thrive in a structured, fast-paced environment where accuracy is paramount, this role offers excellent exposure to complex financial systems and a fantastic foot in the door with a major institution. Location: Toronto, ON ( 100% On-site) Position Type: 6-Month Contract Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Potential for overtime) Number of Openings: 3 Pay Rate $28.24

Job Responsibility

  • Accurately review, process, and validate daily high-volume transactions (e.g., Loans, Deposits, Swaps, Options, and Foreign Exchange spots/forwards) in line with strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Manage and track your daily queue and productivity metrics, maintaining speed and efficiency without sacrificing accuracy
  • Safely handle highly sensitive customer data and financial information, ensuring strict adherence to compliance framework rules and the Bank Code of Conduct
  • Utilize your advanced analytical skills to identify operational bottlenecks and suggest process or macro enhancements
  • Actively participate in weekly team alignment meetings (approx. 2 hours/week) to discuss volumes, updates, and deliverables

Requirements

  • University undergraduate degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related field)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including a strong familiarity with macro processes and navigating complex spreadsheets
  • Strong overall MS Office Suite skills and the ability to learn new software programs quickly
  • While 5–7 years of overall professional maturity is ideal, 1–2 years of direct experience in a Trade Processing/Operations role (specifically dealing with cash products) is highly valued
  • Proven discretion and integrity when handling highly sensitive and confidential customer data
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for spotting discrepancies in repetitive, high-volume data streams
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills for internal team collaboration
  • A consistent, reliable career history (no recent history of job-hopping)
  • A proactive 'go-getter' who is loyal, eager to learn, and goal-oriented

Nice to have

  • Holding or pursuing a CPA or CSC (Canadian Securities Course) designation
  • Prior knowledge of Global and WSS financial platforms

What we offer

  • System Exposure: Gain hands-on experience with specialized global and corporate banking platforms
  • Career Growth: Successful performance in this role opens doors to future internal opportunities
  • Comprehensive Training: Benefit from a structured, 2-week training period to set you up for success
  • Prime Location: Work in a vibrant, easily accessible corporate office at Bloor & Bay in downtown Toronto
