This role sits within a specialist investigations team responsible for improving safety by examining accidents and serious incidents and making recommendations to prevent recurrence. The team conducts investigations both within the UK and internationally where there is a UK interest. Due to the nature of the work, you may be exposed to sensitive and potentially distressing information, including imagery (video and photographs), and may be required to communicate with individuals affected by traumatic events. Job Responsibility:
Answering calls on a reporting line, accurately recording details of incidents and supporting duty coordinators
Assisting with follow-up enquiries to gather key information
Maintaining and quality checking information within the case management system
Supporting investigation processes, including proofreading documents and sending communications to stakeholders
Booking travel and accommodation for deployments and business trips
Monitoring shared inboxes and responding to enquiries from the public and external organisations
Updating central contact records
Providing general administrative support, including reception and switchboard duties
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident telephone manner with the ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work effectively within a team and manage a varied workload
