We are seeking an Operations Officer II to join our collaborative, high-energy team in Mississauga. In this role, you will provide specialized operational support, performing essential back-office transactions and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who prides themselves on getting it right the first time. You should be comfortable working independently in a high-volume environment while maintaining a goal-oriented mindset. This position is 100% back-office (no telephone work) and requires 5 days onsite at the Mississauga office during the training period, transitioning to a 4-day onsite hybrid model thereafter.
Job Responsibility:
Execute a high volume of payments, wire transfers, and various debit/credit transactions with precision
Perform daily reconciliations to ensure all records align with internal and external standards
Provide subject matter expertise for internal partners to ensure business objectives and Service Level Goals (SLAs) are met
Identify and escalate potential risks, ensuring all activities comply with bank codes of conduct and audit guidelines
Actively participate in daily touch-points and suggest ways to enhance workflow efficiency and technology adoption
While this is a 100% back-office role, you will ensure a positive end-customer experience by resolving internal partner inquiries and meeting processing deadlines
Requirements:
High School diploma or Post-Secondary Certification
A degree or certification in Finance or Accounting is strongly preferred
2–4 years of experience within a banking or financial institution
Proven experience in debit/credit transaction processing and reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Professional attitude with strong written and verbal communication
A quick learner mentality with the ability to adapt to changing policies
Exceptional time management and the ability to thrive under strict deadlines
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Money Market (MM) and Foreign Exchange (FX) products (Spots, Forwards, Options) is a significant asset
