We are seeking two analytical and driven Operations Officers III to join our Segregation, Trade Input, and Settlements team. These roles are critical to ensuring compliance with audit requirements and CIRO regulations within our Wealth Operations division. This is a 6-month contract with a strong possibility for extension or permanent conversion based on performance and business needs.
Job Responsibility:
Facilitate trade settlements and share movements, ensuring all transactions are finalized accurately
Review depository records (CDS/DTC) and reach out to relevant parties to request extensions on deliveries or inquire about share receipt status
Maintain internal books of records, ensuring all entries align with transaction requests and financial data
Generate and review reports related to trade activity, segregation, and settlement status
Ensure all activities comply with audit requirements based on CIRO regulations
Maintain professional and timely communication with brokers and respond promptly to correspondence from traders
Investigate discrepancies in share movements or settlement delays, escalating high-risk items to management as necessary
Provide operational support for specialized transactions, demonstrating a clear understanding of product lifecycles and partner needs
Requirements:
Proven administrative experience within a professional office or financial environment
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (specifically comfortable with VLOOKUPs and data manipulation)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated speed and accuracy of deliverables with the ability to meet strict daily deadlines
Diploma in any discipline is required
1+ years of experience within a Canadian financial institution (preferred)
2–5 years of experience within the trade lifecycle (Trade Input, Settlements, or Corporate Actions) (preferred)
Prior experience using depositories such as CDS or DTC (preferred)
