We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Operations Officer II to join our lending support team in Edmonton. This role is focused on the administrative processing of securities and mortgages, specifically regarding loan programming and solicitor engagements. This is a 1-year contract with a strong possibility for extension or permanent conversion, offering an excellent opportunity to build specialized knowledge in banking operations.
Job Responsibility:
Execute the charging of securities and mortgages accurately and in accordance with bank policies
Perform loan programming tasks to ensure systems are updated with correct lending data
Prepare and issue formal letters to solicitors to engage them for new security requirements
Ensure all prepared documentation is accurate and properly reflects the business’s intentions regarding new security
Manage individual and pooled workloads to ensure all productivity and quality benchmarks are met
Utilize internal systems to manage and update customer data with the highest level of confidentiality and precision
Actively participate in daily team meetings and contribute to process improvements within the lending lifecycle
Requirements:
Strong oral and written communication skills for effective internal collaboration
Good understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel
A quick learner who can adapt to new systems and complex lending procedures
Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and the ability to work in a "pooled volume" environment where team success is prioritized
Ability to work independently once trained while maintaining high productivity levels
Nice to have:
Prior experience within a Canadian financial institution or lending operations environment is highly desirable
A proven track record of maintaining high quality in data-heavy administrative roles
