Job Description:

Operations Manager role within Consumer and Small Business Banking Operation within the Cash Managements Service Operations at Wells Fargo, helping build a better company through outstanding talent

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and develop one or more specialized customer service and operations functional teams within Operations area with complex and risk in functional area
  • Develop strategies to improve staffing processes, ensure specialized functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and compliance
  • Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations area
  • Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to more experienced management
  • Provide training, performance evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for operation functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
  • Provide responsibility for budget and financial performance
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • 4+ years of Cash Management Services Operations experience
  • Workforce management experience including: directing activities of team members, performance management, career development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
  • Cash management operating system experience
  • Ability to identify risks and propose mitigation plans
  • Ability to manage to production goals, deadlines, and various metrics including capacity planning, forecasting, process improvement, and measurements
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization including senior leadership/management
  • Experience leading other exempt level managers
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Adaptability and ability to think on your feet to adjust and react to daily operations issues
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements
  • Experience successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
