E80 Group is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a highly automated intralogistics system within a 24/7 manufacturing environment at our Customer site in Marion, NC. This role is responsible for the overall performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of the automated system, while leading a team of 10+ engineers and technicians. The Operations Manager will act as the primary onsite leader and customer interface, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with performance targets.
Job Responsibility
Lead, manage, and develop a team of Operational Engineers, RAEs, and maintenance technicians
Drive accountability, performance management, and team development
Build a strong culture of ownership, safety, and continuous improvement
Own system performance across all shifts in a continuous operation environment
Manage scheduling, escalation, and shift coordination
Ensure operational continuity and rapid issue resolution
Oversee preventive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance activities
Ensure timely execution of maintenance plans and minimize downtime
Drive reliability improvements and long-term equipment performance
Monitor KPIs including uptime, maintenance compliance, and system efficiency
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Deliver regular performance reports and improvement plans
Serve as primary point of contact with Customer leadership onsite
Lead weekly and monthly operational reviews
Ensure alignment between system performance and customer expectations
Manage service interventions, ticketing, and escalation processes
Coordinate with E80 technical support teams and engineering resources
Ensure efficient resolution of technical issues
Requirements
5–10+ years of experience in maintenance, operations, or automation leadership roles
Background in manufacturing, distribution, or highly automated environments
Experience managing teams in 24/7 or shift-based operations
Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance and automation systems
Leadership of technical teams in high-performance environments
Troubleshooting and diagnostic capability (electro-mechanical systems)
Data-driven decision making and KPI management
Root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
Strong communication and customer-facing leadership skills
Independent, accountable, and results-driven
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
Hands-on when needed, with a strategic mindset
Motivated to own and improve a full operation like a business unit
