Job Responsibility
Lead the day-to-day operation of a critical engineering facility, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient service delivery
Manage engineering teams, shift supervisors, and specialist contractors while driving performance and continuous improvement
Oversee switching schedules, planned maintenance, reactive works, and vendor management across the site
Build strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring contractual KPIs and service standards are achieved
Support technical problem-solving across electrical, mechanical, UPS, cooling, and critical building services infrastructure
Requirements
Experience managing engineering operations within a critical environment, data centre, healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other technically complex facility
Strong understanding of electrical building services, power distribution, UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, and planned maintenance
Previous experience leading engineering teams and managing contractors within a Facilities Management or Building Services environment
HNC, Degree, or equivalent engineering qualification, with 18th Edition highly desirable
AP status would be advantageous but can be supported through training
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
