We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to drive and oversee various projects and initiatives within the operations department. This role will collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate reporting and effective communication to support decision-making processes. As part of a long-term contract position, the successful candidate will play an integral role in optimizing operations and delivering strategic results.
Job Responsibility:
Lead technical reporting efforts and manage ad-hoc project needs within the operations department
Analyze operational data and metrics, synthesize findings, and prepare comprehensive reports or presentations
Partner with senior leaders to align reporting and analytical needs with business objectives
Maintain regular communication with internal teams to stay updated on organizational practices and performance indicators
Develop innovative analytical approaches to address complex issues and create new metrics where gaps exist
Build consultative relationships with teams to understand strategic goals and reporting requirements
Coordinate key operations projects and initiatives that hold strategic importance for the business unit
Mentor and provide guidance to team members to support the execution of the operations strategy
Facilitate data-driven decision-making processes by delivering accurate and insightful reports
Undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet organizational needs
Requirements:
Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships across departments and functions
Skilled in prioritizing metrics and managing multiple small to medium-sized projects simultaneously
Expertise in researching, analyzing, and presenting organizational metrics to inform business strategies
Proficiency in navigating matrix environments and fostering effective partnerships with team members at all levels
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
Solid understanding of the banking industry, including products, services, and operational policies
Background in operations management, scorecard metrics, and capacity management within financial services
