The Bench Operations Manager serves as a high-impact, traveling leader across multiple healthcare accounts throughout Northwest Florida. This role operates as a regional support partner and interim site leader, stepping in to stabilize operations, lead teams, drive performance, and ensure regulatory compliance across both Dining Services (CDM) and Environmental Services (EVS). This is a 70%+ travel role supporting multiple locations, with the expectation that the candidate resides within the Northwest Florida region. Designed as a feeder role into Regional Director of Operations, this position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, can quickly assess operational gaps, and drive measurable improvements across diverse teams and client settings.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as an interim leader across multiple sites, stepping into open or underperforming operations to stabilize and improve performance
Lead both Dining (Nutrition Services) and EVS departments, ensuring seamless coordination and execution
Drive regulatory compliance (state, federal, CMS, infection control standards) across all assigned locations
Execute and support quality improvement initiatives, including audit readiness, survey recovery, and operational turnarounds
Provide hands-on leadership, including staffing, coaching, training, and performance management
Assess site operations and implement best practices in food service and environmental services, including floor care programs
Partner with Regional Directors and clients to align on goals, resolve challenges, and enhance service delivery
Support new account openings, transitions, and leadership gaps as needed
Manage labor, productivity, and financial performance to meet or exceed targets
Build strong relationships with clients, clinical teams, and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) – REQUIRED
Strong EVS experience REQUIRED, including hands-on knowledge of floor care systems and programs
3–5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare food service and/or environmental services
Proven ability to lead in multi-site or high-change environments (traveling, interim, or turnaround roles strongly preferred)
Demonstrated success in regulatory compliance, audits, and survey readiness
Strong operational acumen with the ability to quickly assess and improve performance
Ability to influence without direct authority and lead diverse teams in unfamiliar environments
Highly adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
