The Operations Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategies and initiatives focused on improving business functions within our eyecare clinics. This role supports day-to-day operational excellence across the organization, ensuring efficient processes, consistent execution, and a seamless experience for both field teams and patients. This position partners cross-functionally to optimize workflows, support onboarding and integrations, manage key product categories and initiatives, and drive continuous improvement, ultimately improving top line growth and bottom-line profit.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as operational lead for contact lens (CL) which includes supporting category assortment (new products, discontinuation, price changes in point-of-sale), supplier account setup and certification, and operational processes
Maintain and update all site-facing CL resources, including the Operations Guide, price cards, training tools, and critical category database files
Manage supply platform through addition, removal, and updates to assortment and provide periodic reviews of budget/spend reports
Manage eyecare wellness category which includes assortment management (pricing, inventory), system setup, and clinic support
Program manager for our eyewear warranty program includes marketing asset management, system process and updates, supplier relationships, and field support to drive business
Business lead for specialized programs (including transportation, low vision, amniotic membranes, etc.)
Provide point-of-sale (POS) change requests to align with clinic and industry needs and support validation for new products, promotions, services, operational enhancements
For managed programs, serve as the main escalation point for issue management including supplier invoices and payments, account access issues, and inventory/system challenges
Develop, execute, and refine strategies to enhance onboarding and integration experiences (driven with M&A schedule), ensuring immediate operational readiness for newly transitioned sites
Support management of operations inbox for field operational questions and needs
Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with corporate teams, field leadership, and vendor partners to evolve best practices and elevate operational excellence
Lead special projects and support various business initiatives with project planning, onboarding development, system readiness, and adoption
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
5+ years of operations experience (program development and deployment, etc.)
Strong working knowledge of healthcare clinics and/or optical retail environments
Excellent verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
Ability to influence and negotiate across multiple organizational levels
Skilled in crafting clear, actionable communications
Able to work in ambiguity using critical thinking to provide innovative solutions and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Nice to have:
Working experience with multi-unit clinics
Working experience with point-of-sales and business software systems
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
