Job Description:

As an Operations Manager, you will oversee, optimise, and strategically lead the catering performance across a portfolio of Primary and Secondary school contracts in your region. You’ll be the visionary driving operational excellence, ensuring a profitable and innovative food service that consistently exceeds client expectations. This pivotal role requires a leader who can balance superior culinary creativity with rigorous financial management.

Job Responsibility:

Culinary Innovation & Commercial Acumen: Develop engaging food offers and marketing initiatives that are on-trend, innovative, and demonstrably profitable. Ensure our food offering drives sales and secures the retention of existing business
Talent Leadership: Act as an inspirational role model. Lead, develop, coach, and provide outstanding support and guidance to all chefs and catering teams within your area, fostering a positive, motivating, and high-performing culture
Service Excellence: Ensure a consistently fantastic dining experience for all customers. Establish clear accountability for addressing and resolving any issues quickly and effectively
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure strict compliance with all Company & Client policies, site rules, and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, fire, and COSHH

Requirements:

Proven ability to demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in business finance, including managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving profitability
Demonstrate genuine creativity and flair in food development. Possess a passion for the industry and stay current with all trends, innovations, and developments
Extensive experience operating within a compliance-led environment, with a deep understanding of the importance of adhering to stringent policies and procedures
A natural team-builder and motivator with exceptional customer service skills and emotional intelligence
