We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the operations functions within our independent bank located in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can ensure efficient processes, compliance with regulations, and delivery of exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in operations management and a proven ability to lead teams to success.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and guide the Operations team to ensure accurate and timely processing of products and services
Develop and implement scalable solutions and process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations, addressing findings from audits and reviews promptly and thoroughly
Facilitate system upgrades and introduce new products and services by collaborating with relevant departments and overseeing implementation, testing, and training
Serve as the primary liaison between Deposit Operations and other internal teams, fostering clear communication and collaboration
Provide coaching and training to team members to ensure skill development and effective task completion
Evaluate and recommend updates to departmental services and structures to align with organizational goals
Conduct ongoing risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate potential issues while ensuring adherence to bank policies
Participate in bank committees and offer guidance on risk management and operational strategies
Ensure the department meets or exceeds financial performance goals by managing budgets and validating invoices
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the banking industry
Proven ability to lead and coach teams, fostering detail-oriented growth and high performance
Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements and scalable solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments
Familiarity with system upgrades and product rollouts, including testing and training processes
Strong analytical skills to conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate controls
Ability to manage priorities, workloads, and departmental restructuring as needed
