We’re seeking a strategic and collaborative Operations Manager in Melbourne to optimise our processes and support the effective delivery of our products and services. The Operations Manager leads Lonsec’s Operations team and drives the optimisation of processes that support the delivery of our products and services. Working closely with teams across Research, Ratings, Sales, Legal and Data, this role coordinates a virtual operations network to streamline workflows, reduce risk, and improve business efficiency. Responsibilities span all core operational activities, including contract processing, pipeline coordination, renewals support, and report production.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and mentor the Operations team, supporting Research and Ratings while driving a culture of continuous improvement
Oversee delivery schedules and collaborate with sector leads to ensure research outputs and contractual timelines are met
Manage client contracting processes with Legal and Sales, and drive reporting and process optimisation
Address data quality and system compliance issues in partnership with Data, Technology and Research teams, while owning key applications and related business processes
Support product development and client engagement, provide operational insights, deliver management reporting, and help meet compliance obligations
Requirements:
Tertiary (preferably post-graduate) qualifications in Business, Data, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent comparable work experience
Demonstrated experience leading high‑performing Operations teams within fast‑paced and ideally regulated or financial‑services environments
A track record of designing and delivering operational solutions and programs of work that align with business strategy and support organisational objectives
Strong capability in building effective relationships and collaborating with internal teams, external suppliers, and clients to maximise business value
Proven leadership strengths, fostering high performance, collaborative team culture, and client‑focused ways of working
Well‑developed time‑management, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement skills, enabling coordination of complex responsibilities and successful delivery of operational processes
Strong commercial acumen paired with pragmatic problem‑solving abilities to analyse operational issues and implement effective resolutions
