Job Description

As our newest Operations Manager you will primarily be responsible for managing a team and vehicle fleet requirements of operations in order to meet business goals at Cairns Airport. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual that will undertake all duties involved with the successful running of the Avis Budget Group Cairns Airport location. This exciting and fast paced role presents an excellent opportunity for you as a talented individual to utilise your leadership skills and operational expertise.

Job Responsibility

  • Effectively manage vehicle fleet levels and employee rostering to meet customer demands
  • Action and monitor reporting and financial plans to contribute to the development of the annual business plan for your location
  • Manage location performance against the strategic plan and implement necessary contingency measures to ensure targets are achieved
  • Monitor the level of customer service being delivered and continually identify and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction
  • Create and facilitate a team environment within airport operations
  • Identify and continually monitor employee needs and implement actions to increase employee satisfaction and manage the performance of employees as needed

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills with previous experience in managing teams
  • Experience in coaching to further develop your employees while maximizing performance
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while of multi-tasking capabilities
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent computer proficiency
