The Operations Manager at a Petroleum Terminal is responsible for overseeing all daily terminal operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant handling, storage, and distribution of petroleum products.
Job Responsibility
Manage and coordinate terminal operations, including receipt, storage, and dispatch of petroleum products
Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in terminal activities
Lead, train, and supervise operational staff to maintain high performance and morale
Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and coordinate with logistics teams for timely deliveries
Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency and minimise risk
Respond to emergencies, incidents, and equipment failures, ensuring effective resolution and reporting
Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports for management
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in terminal operations or petroleum industry
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
Proficient in operational systems and inventory management software
Outstanding problem-solving and communication skills
