Job Description

The Operations Manager at a Petroleum Terminal is responsible for overseeing all daily terminal operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant handling, storage, and distribution of petroleum products.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and coordinate terminal operations, including receipt, storage, and dispatch of petroleum products
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in terminal activities
  • Lead, train, and supervise operational staff to maintain high performance and morale
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and coordinate with logistics teams for timely deliveries
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency and minimise risk
  • Respond to emergencies, incidents, and equipment failures, ensuring effective resolution and reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports for management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in terminal operations or petroleum industry
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
  • Proficient in operational systems and inventory management software
  • Outstanding problem-solving and communication skills
