This position oversees and executes day-to-day operational functions of the World of Whirlpool, ensuring the successful delivery of live and virtual experiences, meetings, and private functions. Responsibilities include operational planning, staffing oversight, facility readiness, interdepartmental coordination, and hands-on execution of AV and technical needs to ensure all meetings, workshops, and private functions are executed accurately, safely, and to brand standards.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily operations of the World of Whirlpool, including meetings, workshops, virtual experiences, and private functions
Lead operational team to ensure proper and accurate setup, execution, teardown, and cleaning of events
Knowledge and understanding of audiovisual equipment and setup, including general use of laptops, projectors, microphones, and display monitors
Collaborate with internal departments and clients to plan, schedule, and execute events according to predetermined specifications
Maintain knowledge of facilities including room names, locations, capacities, setup styles, capabilities, and interaction of all conference rooms and private function areas
Assist with the creation of any digital assets necessary for virtual experiences or in person meetings, including but not limited to titles, graphics, music, sound design, etc.
Inventory management, purchasing, and maintenance of operational and production equipment
Oversee the setup and breakdown of large product and appliance deliveries, including directing Line Review setups per diagram or client requests
Be the example for employee, guest, and client relations, modeling professionalism, accountability, and service excellence
Oversee technical aspects of virtual experiences, including but not limited to being a camera operator, Zoom host, director, editing and mixing any pre-recorded content
Oversee the maintenance of all areas within the Experience Center and World of Whirlpool on a daily basis
reporting any cleaning, safety concerns and repair needs no matter how small the task
Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the supervisor or manager
Help out in other areas of the facility when applicable
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years’ supervisory or management experience preferred
Experience in hospitality, events, facilities, or operations preferred
Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations
Excellent communication skills
Proficient skills in G-Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects & Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut, Avid, etc.
Able to lift 50 lbs. to a maximum height of 60 inches on a regular basis
Able to work variable hours including weekends and holidays
Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate passenger van
