As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the custodial and assigned soft services operations. You will ensure client satisfaction, financial performance, safety compliance, and operational excellence by leading and developing teams, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with Compass Group Canada policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Plan, organize, and oversee all custodial and assigned soft services operations
Ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality services
Champion a strong health and safety culture
Conduct regular health and safety inspections
Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses
Coordinate and support regulatory, building, and compliance inspections
Oversee minor maintenance and soft services activities
Coordinate, escort, and support external contractors
Plan, schedule, and supervise daily traffic‑control operations
Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop associates
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Support financial and performance accountability
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in custodial, facilities, or support services operations
Proven leadership experience managing supervisors and front-line teams
Strong knowledge of custodial operations, health and safety regulations, and quality assurance
Working knowledge of building systems and soft facility services
Experience coordinating contractors and managing work-order systems
Strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and special events
