Job Description

A growing construction services organization is seeking an experienced field leader to oversee operations at a newly expanding Capital Region location. This individual will play a key role in building out the local team, managing day-to-day field operations, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead daily operations for a small but growing field office, with responsibility for scaling the team over time
  • Manage multiple active job sites, ensuring proper planning, scheduling, and execution of work
  • Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and resources to support active construction projects
  • Oversee site logistics including coordination of work zones, access, and project-related safety requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and local agencies
  • Ensure all field operations adhere to safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and workforce planning to maintain efficiency and quality
  • Conduct regular site visits to support crews, troubleshoot issues, and maintain progress
  • Utilize internal systems and standard tools (Excel, project tracking software, etc.) for scheduling, reporting, and billing support
  • Assist with hiring, training, and developing field staff as the operation grows

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in construction, field operations, or project management
  • Background as a Superintendent, Foreman, or Project Manager preferred
  • Proven experience leading field teams and coordinating multiple job sites
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows, scheduling, and resource planning
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across field teams, clients, and regulators
  • Demonstrated focus on safety, compliance, and risk management
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and project tracking tools
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel locally to job sites
