Job Description

The Bench Operations Manager serves as a regional operational resource supporting multiple SeniorLife+ communities throughout the assigned territory. This highly visible leadership role partners closely with Regional Directors of Operations to provide interim operational leadership, support new account transitions, stabilize challenged locations, mentor site leadership, and ensure consistent execution of Aramark standards across Culinary Services. This position requires extensive travel and the ability to quickly assess operations, build relationships, lead teams through change, and drive measurable improvements in quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate is an experienced Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) with strong operational expertise in healthcare foodservice and long-term care.

  • Monitor and drive day to day operations
  • Manage payroll using company software system
  • Manage quality improvement initiatives for areas of responsibility and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Responsible for staffing, performance management, training, and resource planning
  • Lead document management activities to ensure policies and procedures are followed and practices comply with regulations

  • Support state surveys, regulatory readiness, corrective action plans, and post-survey follow-up
  • Standardize operational processes and ensure consistent execution of Aramark programs, policies, and best practices
  • Assist with new account startups, account transitions, and integration of new leaders
  • Analyze financial performance including labor, food cost, inventory management, and budget adherence while identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies
  • Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted operational partner to facility leadership
  • Travel extensively throughout the assigned region to meet business needs

Requirements

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare foodservice, senior living, or long-term care operations
  • Multi-site leadership or district/regional support experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through operational change and performance improvement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of CMS regulations, state survey processes, infection prevention, and healthcare dining operations
  • Proven ability to quickly assess operations, identify opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions
  • Excellent coaching, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 75-100%) throughout the assigned region
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel independently
