Job Description:

This 12-month contract offers a sophisticated leadership opportunity to provide strategic oversight and operational management for a specialist clinic and training programs. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of clinical and administrative functions. You’ll play a central role in advancing charitable objectives, including rural outreach and registrar training, while maintaining high-quality patient advocacy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide operational oversight of clinical functions in alignment with Board directives and organisational policies
  • Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and quality systems to ensure legislative and accreditation requirements are met
  • Lead and hold senior managers accountable, ensuring staffing aligns with clinical requirements and service delivery
  • Oversee financial performance, manage budgets, and identify resource efficiencies to ensure long-term viability
  • Act as the primary point of contact for staff, contractors, and external partners
  • Deliver high-level reporting and analysis to the Board to support evidence-based decision-making
  • Lead audits and policy reviews to strengthen safety, quality, and patient flow.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Practice, Operations, or Business Management
  • Proven capability in enterprise-level strategic leadership and managing senior staff
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Canva
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and ethical leadership in complex environments
  • Current vaccinations and a commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Must be Australian Citizen or P.R.

  • Provide day-to-day clinical project management oversight of the full range of clinical operations activities associated with clinical trial conduct from protocol development, feasibility/capability assessments, initiation, execution, control, and closure
  • Perform hands-on activities not outsourced to vendors, as needed
  • Author study documents and plans such as ICF and study specific plans
  • Provide input and review of site training materials
  • Review and provide clinical operations input into relevant clinical documents such as the protocol, investigator brochure, regulatory documents, clinical study reports and other documents and plans as appropriate
  • Proactively identify risks and lead team members to mitigate risks in a timely fashion
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships, both internal and external to project, including site personnel (KOLs, PIs, Study Coordinators)
  • Select and manage vendors
  • Perform and document study-level Sponsor Oversight of outsourced clinical activities
  • Execute clinical operations country submission tasks and documents: Review submission pack, coordinate country-specific ethics RFIs, review and update site-specific consent forms
