As the Operations Lead at Hermeus, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operation, clear communications, and strategic alignment across the company. You will work directly with the VP, collaborating with the senior leadership team to drive organizational success. This position requires exceptional communication, leadership, strategic, and analytical skills, along with the ability to navigate a dynamic and rapidly scaling startup environment.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with the VP of Engineering to shape and drive strategic priorities, and execution rhythm across engineering teams
Serve as the VP’s “force multiplier”, monitoring project health, removing roadblocks, and ensuring flawless follow-through
Build and manage tools for high-velocity program execution, including planning frameworks, org comms and offsites
Serve as the key connector between Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Operations
Communicate clearly, align stakeholders, and drive tight cross-team collaboration
Prepare high-quality strategic materials for executives with a focus on clarity and impact
Surface insights and recommendations to the VP of Engineering on organizational improvements, decision-making, and operational efficiencies
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in strategy or operations within technology environments, including direct collaboration with senior technical leadership
Background in STEM (Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent technical experience
Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical chops
Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing long-term initiatives with urgent priorities and managing ambiguity with focus and discipline
Excellent verbal and written communicator
Experience managing budgets, tracking KPIs, and driving operational efficiency within a technology organization
