Foot Locker, Inc., a leading footwear and apparel retailer that unlocks the “inner sneakerhead” in all of us, is currently looking to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Accounting Intern to join our Operations Finance area. The position will support and learn Supply Chain, Technology, and Procurement Finance, along with accounting practices. The internship provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the field of finance and accounting while working with a dynamic and supportive team. The Finance and Accounting Intern will assist with various tasks related to financial analysis, accounting processes, and reporting. This internship is designed to provide practical experience, exposure to industry practices and insight into the day-to-day operations of a finance and accounting department.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with the preparation of financial analysis, reports, and account reconciliations
Support the Operations Finance teams with month-end accounting and close processes
Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Aid in the creation of forecasts, comparing actual results to budgeted figures and providing insights into discrepancies
Help identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiencies
Support the reconciliation of operational accounts
Provide general administrative support to the finance and accounting team as needed
Requirements:
Pursuing Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university
Finance emphasis preferred
Be a Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 grad
Be available to work remotely Monday-Friday (40 hours a week)
A standard day is 8am to 5pm ET
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
Write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial concepts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges
Strong organizational and time management skills
