Job Description:

Some roles keep the business ticking over, this one keeps it safe, accurate and profitable. Behind every successful FX trade is an operations team making sure payments move correctly, risks are controlled and nothing slips through the cracks. This is a hands-on operational role at the heart of the FX business. You’ll be responsible for ensuring foreign exchange payments and transactions are validated, processed and released accurately and on time (often to tight deadlines). You’ll work with internal systems, SWIFT payments and front-office colleagues, helping to ensure clients receive a seamless, professional service while maintaining the highest standards of security and control. It’s detailed, important work and it’s work where accuracy genuinely matters.

Job Responsibility:

  • Validating, processing and releasing FX payments accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Inputting and approving funds transfers (within agreed limits) directly into SWIFT
  • Investigating and resolving payment or transaction issues as they arise
  • Maintaining system security, authorisation levels and control procedures
  • Supporting front-office teams with operational and client-related queries
  • Managing multiple tasks and FX deals in a busy, deadline-driven environment
  • Following agreed processes to minimise risk and protect the business
  • Taking ownership of workload, planning ahead and using initiative to keep things moving smoothly

Requirements:

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with data, systems and processes
  • Can handle high volumes of work without sacrificing accuracy
  • Confident communicating with colleagues and clients
  • Takes responsibility and pride in doing things properly
  • Prior experience in office-based role involving data processing, administration, operations or financial services is beneficial but not required
  • Desire to learn is important

Nice to have:

Prior experience in office-based role involving data processing, administration, operations or financial services

What we offer:
  • Private healthcare for you and your family
  • Company pension scheme
  • Flexible benefits (gym membership, tech, health assessments and more)
  • Access to an online wellbeing centre
  • Discounts with a wide range of retailers
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, with buy/sell options
  • Electric Vehicle / Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle scheme
  • Part of a close-knit, supportive team
  • Work has clear impact on business success
  • Gain valuable exposure to FX, payments and financial controls
  • Trusted to learn, grow and take responsibility
