The Operations Engineer for TTS Trade/Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) is a critical role responsible for embedding operational expertise into the development lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution and efficient AI powered change management. This role will drive the "shift-left" strategy by integrating operations input early in the development process, proactively identifying potential challenges, and ensuring that new functionality is designed with operational efficiency in mind. The Operations Engineer will work cross-functionally across horizontal functions and LOB teams to eliminate bottlenecks, optimize processes, and enhance overall delivery. Acting as a bridge between operations, technology, and business stakeholders, they will champion automation, scalability, and continuous improvement to strengthen Citi's trade platform and client experience.
Job Responsibility:
Design and implement cutting-edge technology-driven solutions to automate existing manual processes, significantly reducing operational risk and enhancing efficiency
Review user stories and acceptance criteria to validate their completeness and confirms operational considerations are captured
Coordinate with Product Architects, Line Ops and Digital Capability Managers on capabilities identified during dependency analysis to align on plan to manage the dependencies
Work with Product Architects and Digital Capability Managers and Line Ops to ensure acceptance criteria satisfies user needs and provide additional input on criteria
Validates the completeness of user stories epics against their scope, and that completion will satisfy business objectives
Monitor development to identify and escalate challenges and impacts to delivery and continuously tracks the deliverables as per agreed scope and timelines
Attend testing to provide feedback and challenge results to confirm previously agreed-upon acceptance criteria were met
Attend demos to validate that there are no gaps from the defined scope
Define, document, and monitor operational readiness criteria which must be met prior to product launch
Coordinate and guide operational readiness team, who develops and delivers training covering the new product functionality
Validate that release readiness criteria have been met
Collaborate with technology teams to integrate automated controls seamlessly into our Trade Finance systems and platforms, ensuring robust and scalable solutions
Requirements:
10+ years of Business Operations and Process Management or relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, specialized analytics or related discipline
Broad and diverse function experience in trade finance, operations change management, and data analytics
Demonstrable expertise in leveraging automation technologies, with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI), workflow automation, and other scripting/programming skills relevant to business process automation
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Demonstrated analytical skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented and agile environment while having fun
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives, with a focus on delivering tangible results in a complex, global environment. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
