The Client: Our client, a leading utilities company committed to innovation and service excellence, is expanding its Technical and Operations team. They are looking for a talented Operations Engineer (SAP) to support their growing network across London, Kent, Hastings, East London and Oxfordshire. No weekends or standby. Your Role as an Operations Engineer (SAP): Using your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you will support Operatives and Project Managers in the construction, audit, and energisation of electricity networks. Job Responsibility:

  • Supervising & mentoring staff to enhance team performance
  • 11kV & LV switchgear pre-commissioning and testing
  • Energisation of IDNO/DNO LV networks for customer connections
  • LV/HV fault location & repair, including cable sheath repairs
  • Planning & executing DNO LV & HV self-connections
  • Liaising with DNO engineers for energisation of substations

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar operational role within the utilities sector
  • Strong knowledge of HV and LV distribution networks
  • Current or previous DNO/iDNO 11kV AP/SAP Operational Authorisation
  • HNC (or equivalent) qualification in electrical systems
  • SSSTS or IOSH supervisory Health & Safety qualification
