Job Description:

Join the Markets & Treasury Tribe supporting the FX Bonds & Rates Area, where you’ll ensure stable, high-performing trading systems across the full trading value chain. As an Operations Engineer, you will provide 1st/2nd line support directly on the trading floor, working closely with traders, sales, developers, analysts and vendors. You will maintain and enhance critical Fixed Income trading platforms, with a strong focus on ION MarketView and the ION stack.

Job Responsibility:

Front-office support for traders and sales
Incident triage, root-cause analysis and resolution within SLAs
Continuous improvement and maintenance of trading applications
Configure/administer ION MarketView & ION components (MMI, PXE, gateways, VMO/VMQ, Risk, STP)
Monitoring, performance tuning, stability improvements
Execute changes via formal change management
Produce support documentation, CMDB updates, DR artefacts
Collaborate with international tech and business teams
Mentor junior colleagues
Contribute to DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, testing)
Prioritise and escalate incidents appropriately
Act decisively under trading-critical pressure
Make independent decisions within team standards and SLAs
Communicate clearly with stakeholders

Requirements:

Front-office support experience in Fixed Income
Understanding of D2D/D2C trading venues
Knowledge of pricing, quoting, RFQ, STP and settlement flows
Awareness of MiFID reporting and algo-control requirements
ION MarketView configuration & operational support
ION stack components (MMI, gateways, PXE, VMO/VMQ, Risk, STP)
Azure DevOps / JIRA
CI/CD and automation concepts
Linux + scripting
Basic SQL & database knowledge
Relevant networking fundamentals

Nice to have:

Bloomberg TOMS
Hands-on ION change implementation
Monitoring/telemetry for front-office systems
