A rapidly expanding care organisation is seeking an experienced Operations Director to support its next phase of growth. Following significant success in the domiciliary care sector and new entry into the care home market, the business is entering a transformative period of development. With several new branches and care homes scheduled to open over the next 12–18 months, this is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic senior leadership team and help shape the operational direction of a fast-growing care group.
Job Responsibility:
Lead day-to-day operational performance across multiple domiciliary care branches
Support the wider leadership team, including the Director of Care and Training Manager
Oversee service delivery, CQC compliance, and operational improvements
Contribute to business growth, new branch openings, and service expansion
Work closely with local authorities, ICBs, and commissioners to maintain strong partnerships
Drive commercial performance and identify new business opportunities
Deputise for the MD when required, ensuring continuity and leadership presence
Maintain high visibility across all branches – spending time both in the field and at head office
Requirements:
Senior leadership experience in domiciliary or community care
In-depth understanding of CQC regulations, the Care Act, and compliance standards
Experience working with local authorities and ICBs
Strong commercial acumen and business development experience
Demonstrated stability and progression within previous roles
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Flexible, accountable, and hands-on approach – not limited to a 9-to-5 mindset
Nice to have:
Experience at Divisional Director, Regional Operations Manager, or COO level
Background in managing multiple contracts or service types
Knowledge of domiciliary operations
