Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Operations Director will be responsible for leading CSP's Operations function, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services across all contracts while maintaining a strong focus on efficiency, continuous improvement and commercial performance. This role requires an operationally experienced and commercially aware individual who can establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, partners, Heads of Department and senior leaders (CFO, COO and Managing Partner), as well as the Board of Directors. You will be expected to operate confidently at both a strategic and operational level, contributing to business planning while ensuring that day-to-day operations are delivered effectively and in line with CSP standards. The Operations Director will play a key role in improving operational effectiveness by identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, streamline processes and implement best practice across the organisation. The role also involves leading cross-functional projects and supporting wider business initiatives as required. The role will be based at CSP's Head Office. However, regular national travel and occasional international travel will be required, along with flexibility to support operational demands, including some weekend work.
Job Responsibility
Lead and deliver the Operations Departmental Plan aligned with CSP's business objectives
Contribute to company-wide strategy and monthly management reviews
Inspire, mentor and develop Heads of Operations and wider teams
Act as a senior ambassador for CSP's values and culture
Oversee planning and delivery of all operational services and event scheduling
Ensure exceptional service standards across all client contracts
Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
Drive continuous improvement, innovation and operational efficiency
Manage departmental budgets and drive cost efficiency
Identify new revenue opportunities and value-add initiatives
Lead tender processes and contract renewals
Champion a proactive Health & Safety culture across all operations
Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and CSP standards
Oversee audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement actions
Requirements
Experience in a senior management/leadership position, preferably within a service delivery or related industry
Proven senior level record of success in the leadership, development and management of people and resources
Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage multiple budgets
Strong experience in driving performance, efficiency, and business growth
An effective communicator at all levels
Strategic thinker with excellent planning and organisational skills
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
