As Operations Director, you will lead the strategic vision for our global delivery engine, bridging the gap between high-level business goals and ground-level execution. Reporting to the CEO, you will manage a multidisciplinary team across the UK, France, and Poland, ensuring our "1% better every day" mindset is embedded in every city we serve.
Job Responsibility:
Executive Leadership: Serve as a core member of the Global Leadership Team, aligning operational tech requirements with the Product and Engineering roadmaps to facilitate automation.
Strategic Supply & Demand Management: Own the operational P&L across four key city segments, while implementing high-level strategies to ensure supply-demand equilibrium and budget adherence.
Automation: Drive the transition toward automated operational processes, reducing manual intervention in high-volume markets to improve scalability and margins.
BPO & Scalability: Define the engagement framework for our BPO partner to ensure our external partner delivers the same high-quality service as our in-house teams.
Localized Innovation & Agility: Empower local teams to act as 'entrepreneurs,' giving them the autonomy to run MVPs, manage local budgets, and test new initiatives.
Courier Advocacy: You’ll oversee the Product & Courier Ops lead to ensure we are the platform of choice—balancing earnings, safety, and a seamless user experience.
Sustainability & Multi-Fleet Strategy: Operationalize our 2035 Net Zero commitment by optimizing fleet mix (EVs, bikes, etc.) to reduce CO2 per delivery without compromising on-time performance.
Requirements:
10+ years of Scaling Experience: You have managed complex operations across multiple countries, ideally in a high-transaction environment (logistics, food-tech, or mobility).
Efficiency Mindset: You are obsessed with unit economics and have a track record of driving down costs through process improvement and automation.
Strategic Segmentation: Experience managing tiered markets and knowing when to apply 'standardized automation' versus 'local touch.'
Leader of Leaders: Proven ability to manage a team of 6 senior leads, balancing high-level mentorship with rigorous performance management.
Grit & Data Fluency: You are comfortable in the weeds of a spreadsheet and the heat of a live operational crisis. You use data to find the '1% better' every single day.
Communication: Exceptional English skills and the ability to influence stakeholders from the Leadership to the BPO floor.
