Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our Middle Office and FX Operations across India. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic transformation in a complex, high-volume environment.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and develop multiple specialized teams
Work with senior management to develop and execute business plans
Integrate efforts of cross department initiatives with core business objectives
Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development
Provide expertise on managing highly complex technical and operational processes
Lead Operations management team by making strategic decisions
Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures
Collaborate with and influence functional team on operational processes
Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff
Manage allocation of people and financial resources
Develop and guide a culture of talent development
Lead and manage Middle Office and FX Operations teams
Drive transformation initiatives, automation, and process optimization
Represent India operations in global forums
Oversee trade lifecycle management across asset classes
Ensure accurate trade capture, validation, and exception handling
Manage regulatory and financial risk oversight
Lead FX transaction processing across various products
Maintain robust controls and compliance with global regulatory standards
Lead a high-performing team of 100+ professionals
Build strong partnerships with trading desks, sales, technology, and global operations teams

Requirements:

8+ years of Operations experience or equivalent
4+ years of management or leadership experience
8+ years in financial services or related industries
8+ years in Middle Office and FX Operations
8+ years in senior leadership roles managing large, distributed teams
Familiarity with AI/ML, GenAI platforms, and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Excel Macros)
Demonstrated success in navigating and influencing within a global matrixed organization
Strategic thinking and execution
Stakeholder engagement and influence
People development and team leadership
Operational risk and control management
Communication and interpersonal excellence

Nice to have:

Familiarity with AI/ML, GenAI platforms, and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Excel Macros)
