The Operations Director is accountable for the development of the 3 Sites in Lucca and Collodi and to lead the Supply chain for Italy. The role is responsible for being the Supply Chain face to the customers in a strong collaborative relationship with our Commercial Director and to join forces with all areas of the value chain to ensure the delivery of continued profitable growth. The role is responsible for ensuring that safety and health, quality, environment, cost, delivery (volume, service level) and capability development targets are brought to standards of excellence in the area.

Is a reliable and capable business partner for the local Italian market ensuring product availability and implementing market benefiting initiatives

Drives the continuous improvement in the operations and owns the area results. Sets and follows up the budgets, targets and objectives
Ensures all the sites in the area are fully compliant to legal and Essity standards
Builds constructive unions relations in the area
Requirements:
University degree in Engineering, Industrial Sciences, Operations Management or related field
Strong manufacturing background, in paper industry is a plus
Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Site Manager of one or multiple industrial sites
Proven track record of improving operational performance at site or multi-site level
Proven experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies (TPM, Lean etc)
Solid experience leading change management in complex environments
Demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers
Strong business understanding with the ability to balance stakeholder needs
operational constraints, and business opportunities
Demonstrated capability to collaborate with market teams across the value chain
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, engage and influence across different disciplines, cultures and positions
Ability to build trust in an open environment by involving others and building effective teams and act as a team player
