An opportunity exists for an Operations Coordinator to join Aurizon’s rail & logistics operations team based at our Avon WA depot. In this role, you will coordinate train crew and yard operations, ensuring the cost-effective deployment of resources while maintaining a high level of customer service. This is an excellent opportunity to transition into the rail industry, applying your existing operational experience in a new and rewarding environment. Full training will be provided to support your success in this safety-critical role.
Job Responsibility
Coordinating daily train service and maintenance activities
Managing operational changes to meet schedules and performance targets
Developing and maintaining effective processes and systems
Promoting Aurizon's "We know safe, We choose safe" safety culture
Leading and supporting a high-performing team environment
Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company procedures
Requirements
Experience in operations, logistics, scheduling or similar roles
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making ability
Frontline leadership experience (rail, mining, logistics or heavy industry preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Nice to have
Cert IV in Frontline Management
Train driving and/or shunting qualifications
