Job Description

We’re looking for an Operations Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment and enjoys being at the center of how things get done. In this role, you’ll support a mix of purchasing, inventory, ERP systems, and day-to-day operations within a precision manufacturing setting that uses advanced automated and servo-driven equipment. You’ll play a key part in connecting what happens in the office with what happens on the production floor—working closely with operations, engineering, vendors, and customers to keep everything moving smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow into broader operational leadership over time in a contract-to-permanent position.

Job Responsibility

  • Help coordinate production schedules to ensure materials are available and workflows stay on track
  • Keep ERP system data aligned with actual shop floor activity
  • Partner with operations and assembly teams to ensure strong communication and coordination
  • Identify production or workflow bottlenecks and help resolve them
  • Support purchasing activities, including creating purchase orders, working with vendors, and tracking orders
  • Assist with receiving, inventory control, and cycle counts
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and help resolve discrepancies
  • Coordinate material movement to ensure production needs are met on time
  • Work within ERP/MRP systems (experience with tools like Acumatica is a plus)
  • Support accurate system data for materials, orders, and inventory Interact with customer procurement systems (such as Ariba) for order processing and documentation
  • Assist with quotes and proposals by gathering inputs across materials, labor, and vendor costs
  • Track project progress and help keep cross-functional efforts aligned
  • Ensure customer expectations, system data, and production execution stay aligned for on-time delivery
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable through data entry and coordination
  • Assist with invoice matching, vendor communication, and transaction tracking
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external accounting partners
  • Help identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows
  • Support process improvements, system updates, and operational initiatives
  • Contribute to standard operating procedures and documentation
  • Work with engineering to interpret drawings, BOMs, and technical requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or operations support
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (Acumatica, SAP, AS400, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of inventory, purchasing, and material flow
  • Background supporting shipping, receiving, or production environments is a plus
  • Exposure to systems like Ariba or similar procurement platforms preferred
  • Mechanical or electrical aptitude (ability to read drawings or understand assemblies is helpful)
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
