We’re looking for a Compliance & Safety Supervisor to join our Truganina, VIC team within Metcash Food & Grocery. In this leadership role, you’ll ensure warehouse operations are conducted in line with all compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements, while fostering a safe, engaged, and high-performing team culture.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure all WHS, Food Safety (HACCP), and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) policies and procedures are implemented and maintained
Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation and training records across all team members
Lead and coordinate compliance training programs, identifying gaps and ensuring competency across all staff levels
Conduct and manage site compliance audits including WHS, HACCP, facility, racking, CoR, and contractor management
Ensure all risk assessments, SWPs/SOPs, and compliance documentation are reviewed and updated regularly
Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
Monitor and complete site safety lead indicators in line with monthly targets
Chair monthly WHS meetings and lead quarterly HACCP/Food Safety meetings
Ensure all new employees are inducted and trained in accordance with compliance requirements
Drive a safety-first culture and continuous improvement across warehouse operations
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in FMCG, warehouse, or logistics operations
Strong knowledge of WHS/OH&S, HACCP, and regulatory compliance requirements
Experience managing compliance audits, documentation, and reporting
Proven ability in incident investigation and root cause analysis
Demonstrated experience in training coordination and staff development
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
