Job Description

Project Managers are responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of capital planning with a focus on large strategic projects. The position requires an individual with the ability to manage numerous projects across various functional disciplines with a team-oriented approach.

Job Responsibility

  • Project Managers are responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of capital planning with a focus on large strategic projects
  • Gathers and organizes data to effectively analyze operations, logistics, and financial information to support optimal use of organizational resources and recommend appropriate course of action to the Operations Project Director to facilitate achievement of short and long-term goals
  • Assumes project manager role for development and monitoring scope, budget, and timeline for capital renovations, and new build-outs within the organization as assigned by the Operations Projects Director
  • Attends weekly meetings for construction projects
  • Identifies, manages, and documents action items, accountable party, and due date of project issues that will impact operations of the affected area and assures timely completion of open items to minimize disruption
  • Coordinates enabling moves and relocation's due to project scope
  • Manages and schedules necessary resources to successfully complete project
  • Acts as liaison between end users and project construction team
  • Leads process to identify and budget equipment associated with capital renovation projects
  • Develops initial equipment list and budget for each renovation project assigned
  • Develops comprehensive MEP documentation for each piece of equipment identified in the project budget
  • Assumes responsibility for coordination of architecturally significant equipment and facilitates communication between end user, A/E Team, and vendor assuring final vendor drawings are incorporated into construction documents
  • Assumes responsibility to lead operations logistic meetings to establish overall schedule for operations go live in the project area
  • Manages overall capital process for assigned operational areas
  • Collaborates with end user to identify capital needs and build over all capital request budget
  • Facilitating primary quote submission to the capital acquisition process by initiating contact with specified vendors, negotiating contract terms and pricing, and reviewing configurations with end users
  • Leads monthly meetings with the end user to discuss capital prioritization, issues, and status of current requests
  • Responsible for coordinating all elements of the capital authorization process
  • Coordinates with requesting department to define scope and objective of the capital project
  • Collaborates with Health System Contracting, IT, and Biomed to ensure review and signoff
  • Coordinates with Design, Construction, and Renovation on the development and submission of renovation estimates necessary to support capital projects
  • Initiates authorization of capital funds through E-builder once scope and budget is complete
  • Reviews the benefit of service agreements with the end users to determine any applicable course of action at the time of purchase
  • Works with departments and vendors to guarantee timely purchase, delivery, installation, NAD training, for capital projects

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing Business, or management or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department

Nice to have

  • Master's Degree in Nursing Business or Management
  • 3 or more years health care experience
  • Administrative or Supervisory experience
