Job Description

As Sandwater grows, we are strengthening our team with an Operations and Finance Manager. This role is essential to ensure that our fund platform runs with precision, transparency, and reliability. You will work closely with the entire Sandwater, including operations and finance and investment team and our external fund administrator. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, high-performing team and take real ownership of critical processes in a fast-evolving venture capital firm. The role centers on supporting and managing Sandwater financial operations and investment portfolio, which includes support of existing and new investments, coordination of audit and reporting, cash flow oversight, budgeting support, investor reporting and core fund processes. The position also plays a key role in strengthening Sandwater’s data‑driven approach through improved data models, dashboards and automation. Over time, the right candidate can expand into broader responsibilities across both the financial side of the firm and operational work with portfolio companies.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare financial follow-ups, cash flow overviews, and budgeting material
  • Handle payment processes and reporting for Sandwater entities
  • Assist in annual audits and collaborate with auditors and legal partners
  • Support the fund accounting cycle, including quarterly investor reporting and coordination with the fund administrator
  • Support capital calls, distributions, and other fund processes
  • Support in dialogues with the Fund investors
  • Collect KPI data from portfolio companies and maintain an updated reporting and valuation overview
  • Assist the investment team on financial due diligence, transactions and valuation
  • Keep internal systems structured and up to date
  • Develop structured data models for portfolio and fund insights
  • Build internal dashboards to support real-time decision-making
  • Implement automated data flows that reduce manual work

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics with strong academic results
  • Around 3-7 years of relevant experience in audit, accounting, fund administration or similar roles
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with financial models, statements, and datasets
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
  • Curiosity for tools and automation
  • willingness to improve systems
  • Fluency in English
  • You are structured, analytical, and detail‑oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and reliability
  • Professional and discreet, you handle sensitive information with care
  • You work well independent while also thriving in close collaboration with a small team

  • Experience from private equity, venture capital and/or transactions
