Job Description:

We are a leading, family-owned, chemical business operating from multiple sites in the South West of the UK. Boasting continuous growth, we are now looking for a technically biased Operations and Engineering Director to formulate and execute operational strategies whilst leading the management of our chemical production.

Job Responsibility:

Formulate and execute operational strategies
Lead the management of chemical production
Develop, oversee and manage the operations budget
Collaborate with the Regulatory Team to ensure compliance
Lead and inspire a team of operations professionals
Assume responsibility for projects to improve operations
Be an active and collaborative member of the senior management team

Requirements:

Successful senior manager/director
Background in the chemical sector as an Operations Manager, Factory Manager, Plant Manager, Site Manager, or Senior Production Manager
Exposure to DSEAR/COSHH/COMAH regulations
Proven track record of leadership and management
Managed a chemical manufacturing site with a t/o of circa £20-£50m
Worked with a variety of outsourced providers and managed a broad supply chain
