Job Description:

Join us in making heating better for everyone. The UK’s heating system is outdated - costing people and the planet too much. Since 1999, Kensa has been transforming how homes and communities heat and cool buildings through affordable, low-carbon ground source heat pump solutions. We’re behind over half of the UK’s ground source heat pump installations, and our networked heat pump systems are one of the cleanest, most cost-effective ways to decarbonise heat at scale. By 2040, up to 8,000 homes a week could be connecting to these networks, eliminating 17Mt of CO₂ annually. If you want to make a meaningful impact while supporting a team driving real change, this could be the role for you. As Operations Administrator, you'll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This varied role supports logistics, project delivery, onboarding, and compliance - ensuring our teams are organised, informed, and able to work effectively.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide customer service support, answering calls and handling general enquiries
  • Arrange transport and site services to assist the logistics team
  • Monitor delivery schedules and liaise with project managers or sites to ensure readiness
  • Raise and process purchase orders and provide cover during absences
  • Support onboarding and compliance for new starters, maintaining accurate records
  • Assist project managers with administrative tasks and maintain project files
  • Help document and update operational processes with the Systems Analyst
  • Provide general admin support across the Operations team and cover colleagues when needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in administration or customer service
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and adapting to change
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
  • Positive, flexible, and team-focused
What we offer:
  • Growth & Development: Opportunities to stretch your skills through meaningful, collaborative work
  • Wellbeing Support: Free, confidential Employee Assistance Programme for you and your family
  • Flexible Working: Hybrid and office-based options to suit your lifestyle
  • Time Off: 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days with service
  • Health & Security: Private Health Insurance (after one year) and company pension
  • Sustainable Travel: Cycle to Work Scheme to help lower your carbon footprint
  • Community Impact: Paid volunteering days and regular team events
  • Dog-Friendly Offices: Some of our spaces, including HQ, welcome four-legged friends
