Job Responsibility:

Be part of a vital front-of-house support team helping to keep our site safe, welcoming and running smoothly. This varied, hands-on role includes moving and delivering equipment and supplies, managing waste safely, supporting patient movement, and carrying out routine cleaning and minor maintenance. You'll also help maintain site security by monitoring CCTV, managing building access and responding to any concerns, working closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of a range of procedures for basic testing and repair of estates and maintenance equipment to level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a customer-facing or service-focussed environment
  • Experience carrying out practical hands-on maintenance type tasks such as moving equipment, basic repairs or outdoor work
  • Experience working as part of a team where communication and cooperation are important
  • Understanding of basic Health & Safety principles, or willingness to learn
  • Awareness of confidentiality and professionalism when working in a healthcare or public facing environment
  • Ability to carry out regular moving and handling tasks safely, including furniture, equipment, deliveries, and waste
  • Ability to follow procedures accurately, especially in relation to waste disposal, emergency response, and security protocols
  • Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues, tenants, contractors, and visitors
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a busy, varied environment
  • Basic problem-solving skills, including identifying issues and reporting them promptly
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications and simple digital systems
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing priorities or urgent requests
  • Positive and helpful attitude when supporting colleagues, tenants, patients, and visitors
  • Respectful and considerate, promoting a safe and welcoming environment for all building users
