Operational Support Manager

• Provide operational leadership and support across Cardiology and Respiratory services
• Work collaboratively with clinical leads, nursing teams, and administrative staff
• Support service planning, capacity and demand management, and delivery of performance targets
• Lead on day-to-day problem-solving and escalation of service pressures
• Contribute to the implementation of quality and safety improvement programmes
• Support workforce planning and staff engagement within the services

• Graduate level qualification or equivalent NHS experience
• Understanding of Health care and Social Care management environment and roles and responsibilities within it
• Capacity and Demand awareness
• Performance management methodology
• Ability to assimilate & co-ordinate various agendas prioritising appropriately
• Knowledge and awareness of: - National targets and local access targets - National Service Frameworks - Clinical Governance
• Sound understanding of management processes and procedures
• Service Improvement methodologies
• Understanding and working Knowledge of an electronic patient record system (EPR)
• Clinical Engagement
• Demonstrate management and leadership experience within the NHS
• Experience in operational management within a complex health or social care environment
• Demonstrable experience of NHS administrative process
• Track record of undertaking and successfully completing change management

• Postgraduate Health or Management Diploma or willing to work towards
• PRINCE2 qualification
