Job Description:

The Operational Risk Senior Manager will join Citi’s Risk Team, managing operational risk in compliance with the First Line of Defense and the organization’s risk appetite. Responsibilities include analyzing operational risk, enhancing processes, liaising with stakeholders, and guiding junior analysts. The role requires expertise in Markets Products and services, data management skills (e.g., VBA, Python, Power BI), and over 10 years of experience in operational risk or related functions. Job Responsibility:

  • Produce analytics and reporting used to manage Operational risk.
  • Perform root cause analysis of common operational problems.
  • Develop, enhances, and validate the methods of measuring and analyzing different Operational risk types.
  • Communicate results to diverse audiences.
  • Provide guidance to junior analysts as and when necessary.
  • Manage stakeholder interaction.
  • Apply AI based solution to enhance risk identification and controls.
  • Challenge the status quo, display initiative and innovation in coming up with solutions.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of Markets Products and services.
  • General management skills, leadership abilities and administrative experience.
  • Strong verifiable management of Excel and Power Point (exclusive).
  • Proven data management skills such as VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI or Tableau (valued but not exclusive)
  • Proficiency handling very large data sets.
  • Familiarity with enhancing, automating, or simplifying control processes as well as monitoring control exceptions and breaches.
  • Proven ability to design and lead projects that enhance processes, showcasing creativity in problem-solving complex situations.
  • >10 years of experience in Operational Risk Management, Audit, Compliance or other control function.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders across the business.
  • Orientation to results and detail, efficient working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple responsibilities and delivery of simultaneous tasks in a rigorous control environment while connecting the dots across different workstreams.

Nice to have:

  • Proven data management skills such as VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI or Tableau (valued but not exclusive)
